Woodham Ferrers

Status:

The post at Woodham is on top of a hill in the middle of a meadow. Like most posts it has a compound around it, this one is quite large with the usual wire fencing. The grass is over grown and the hatch has been damaged quite badly. The hatch was once welded but is now open and can be entered quite easily.
Inside the post is badly damaged, one door is missing and there is not much equipment left. I did recover some paper work on my visit for preservation.

Future Action:

Not a lot really, I found out who owned the field, a farmer by the name of Mr. Turner, I went to pay a visit to him. Unfortunately he was not there and I think I spoke to his wife. She unfortunately was not very helpful and was most insistent that if I or anyone else went near the field or post the police would be called. I hope to return to the farm at a latter date and patch things up with the farmer and his wife and so be able to return to the post.
