Before you read on, a word of warning, these are under ground bunkers which can only be accessed by descending a virtual ladder which can be slippery and some times unstable, as well as that some of the bunkers have been vandalized and so are in a dangerous state. So be Very Careful when visiting the sites.
More importantly few of these sites are open to the public and are on private land, while some on the edges of fields others are in peoples gardens or in the middle of farmers fields and they won't take kindly to people entering there land. A few are on MOD land and you try and visit these at your own risk.
It is my intention to collect as many artifacts related to these and build up a complete inventory, as I collect them I will list them on this site and try to build up a virtual bunker so that you will be able to what one would look like inside. These are the Royal observer Corp Bunkers that I have visited so far.

This is by no means a comprehensive list or detailed history of the Royal Observer Corp. This I will leave too two men called Nick Catford and Dan Mckenzie. They have produced a detailed list of all 1,000 bunkers around the country plus all the group HQ's, this is how I've found the ones in Essex. To see the listing you will need to visit their site which is linked the the Subterranea Britannica list the address is:
