Ickleton

This post is on the top of a hill on the main road between Ednham and
Ickleton. The gate still says Private keep out. The post is about 15 yards
in from the gate. In the compound there is also an orbit post which can
be seen from the road. The post itself is in amongst a set of trees which
are above the level of he field.
Again the padlock eyes are missing and the post is unlocked. The concrete
around the hatch is badly cracked and shows signs of rabbits have dug down
around it.
Internally the post is totally stripped and shows signs of being fire damaged at some time.
Future Action:
None at the moment though I do have some ideas for the Essex posts for
the future.
