Hatfield Peveral

Status: The post is about 100 yards into an arable field just before the Witham turn of the A12. The post was closed in 1968 and is in quite a bad condition. The hatch cover is missing and the hatch way is badly damaged, there is quite a lot of rubble around and the whole area is quite over grown. The louvers on the air vent are also missing, Internally the post is totally stripped and the floor is flooded.
Back outside there is an orlit post standing near by and this is in surprisingly good condition, apart from that there are no other surface features.

Re visit the post and take more photo's
