Mistley

(Essex County Council's Emergency Stand By Centre)

This Bunker is well worth a visit, it is smaller than the one at Kelvedon Hatch but it was meant for Essex County Council, it has been restored extremely well and has nearly all it original equipment. it is a semi sunk bunker with one floor above and one floor below ground.

I personal found this a little harder to find and when I visited it I drove straight passed it but I soon realized that I missed it. So it is at the centre of Mistley, Essex. 1 mile from Manningtree the B1352 passes the gate. If unlike me though you drive a bit slower and look out for the signs you should find it.
