At Nick Catford's last visit to the post in 2002 it was locked. The post was also in a good condition with all the surface features intact. Like a lot of posts the padlocks were missing and the hatch could be opened with a T bar key. At that time there was quite a lot of equipment still in place, these included, some BT equipment, fire blanket, visitors log and mattresses. Unfortunately the post had its enemy's, namely a local group of anti nuclear protestors, who had left their mark. The post opened in 1959 and lasted until the stand down of the Corp in 1991.
